why conventional catacomb?
i was going for a name that captures the seriousness of everyday life and the depth of commonplace moments of silence. i wanted something that suggests the gravity of death, yet takes that gravity and plops it into the routine and makes itself a critical part of human understanding. i want the log as a virtual retreat. i'm among a horde that sits in front of a computer every day, and makes my living using the tools contained in a few different software packages. this is my quiet stop in the midst of constant channel flipping. and catacombs are quiet places.
ruminations
sometimes i feel like ruminating, so i thought i would see if the blog format works for me. i'm not quite sure if this is a viable venue, but there is only one way to find out. plus, everyone has a blog. it's like a requisite accessory. so kudos to google's "blogger" for democratizing the internet, and here's to democracy! and as long as we're discussing google and democracy, it looks like google doesn't love democracy at all. check out noluv4google.com.
